…well maybe a little less red velvet and more white chocolate chip macadamia. The intent was there, but see, you can’t have red velvet unless you add the red colouring and well, I frankly forgot. When I did realize, the batter had been mostly mixed and I really did not want to over mix. So what we have is cocoa white chocolate chip macadamia nut cookies.
Butter and sugar to start, then eggs and vanilla.
Adding the cocoa and flour, baking soda and salt. The chocolate chips and nuts were folded In by hand.
I rolled the batter in balls and into the oven they went.
Here’s the final product.
Despite the lack of red colour, they were still great. A little crunch on the outside, chewy in the middle. The chocolate chips and macadamia nuts add nice contrast to the cocoa colour. Not bad for quickly throwing together some cookies. =)
