Rang in the new year surrounded by family and friends. There were laughs and drinks and most importantly tons of food!
Started early with lunch at the Wheat Sheaf Tavern, one of Toronto’s oldest pubs. Decent pub grub and of course some beer.
There’s always dessert and it usually is ice cream for me. Off to Ed’s Real Scoop.
New Year’s game night hosted by some family friends, P & A. My stomach hurt from laughing so hard or maybe it was also all the food I gorged on. An awesome Filipino Food fest. We had all the staples – palabok, lumpia, sinigang, caldereta, rice, ham, leche flan (my fave), meringue and banana turrone. Heaven.
As if, I had not eaten enough, New Year’s Day brought with it lunch at my parents. My mom was busy with the turkey, ham, spinach artichoke dip, Filipino pancit, crab cakes with roasted pepper sauce and berry yogurt fool. My aunt even brought over an awesome apple pie.
Oh I love taking home leftovers….
Here’s hoping you all had a great New Years’s eve! =)
