Greek & Games

In the sweetness of friendship; let there be laughter and the sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed ~ Kahlil Gibran

I braved the weekend crowd to partake in the yearly Taste of the Danforth. It was amazing chaos between lineups for food and watching people try to break the Guiness World Record for the largest Zorba dance.

Day wasn’t over yet. Off to the Mattamy Athletic Centre, formerly the historic Maple Leaf Gardens to watch Team Canada Men’s Basketball Team. It was the Jack Donohue International Classic pitting Team Canada against Team Jamaica. The crowd was boisterous and very supportive of our home country guys. Team Canada kept it exciting and came back in the last few minutes to win. Go Canada!

Game over. Time for some after game beers and snacks. No need to travel far, just across the street to the patio at Mick E. Fynns. Greasy fried apps and nachos to go along with beer and some more beer.

Who doesn’t love a day out with good Peeps, enjoying the awesome weather, eating fun food and having some drinks? Quality moments. Quality laughs. Great times =)
